Additional unique opportunities for new international freshmen
- Intensive Freshman Seminars (IFS) is one of the best ways that international students can begin their college career at IU. By starting college only two and a half weeks early, IFS students can earn 3 credits for the fall semester by attending classes with other international and domestic students where they will work one-on-one with faculty, explore research opportunities, and adjust to college life.
- Living Learning Centers create unique learning experiences by bringing together students with common academic interests.
- For example, are you a woman interested in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics? If so, consider the Women in STEM LLC when selecting your housing.
- The Global Living-Learning Community is the only IU residential space specifically designed to address the needs of international students. If you want to increase your chances of being placed in the community, please be sure to rank the Global LLC as your 1st preference on your RPS housing application.
